I've got a drag pipe with spacer out and 5 sizes bigger on main and 4 up on pilot, mixture @ 1 turn out. I get 50 mpg when driven to get it, no back firing and can rocket from 40 to 90 mph in 5th gear just rolling on the throttle. Idle is louder than a rumbler but rest of range except wide open is quieter than the rumbler. Engine is stock with 7500 on it, mods made @ 600 miles.
